The definition of remote work for most of the employers is 100%, which means doing all the work from home. But this is wrong. For example, many people regularly visit clients. Technically they are doing work remotely at that moment.
With advancements in technology, the way we communicate, socialize and even recruit has completely changed. It’s high time we must change the way we work. It’s quite amazing just how tasks can be completed in seconds from a mobile phone these days without rushing to any specific location or starting any specific device.
Thanks to the technology, remote working is becoming part of employment industry nowadays. Many solopreneurs can now connect to new projects in new companies. This trend is becoming quite common for growing companies. Gone are the days, when the employees had to work 9-to-5, 40-hour work week sitting together in an office. Today, the teams are working remotely with the help of collaboration tools and producing productive results. This gives the benefit of hiring talent from various regions with no defined boundaries.
Remote working can be classified as any of the following:
- Working from home full-time, making occasional office visits for meetings.
- Office-based for ‘x’ amount of days through the week, home-based for the rest.
- Working off-site, but not necessarily at home.
Well, every individual might have his or her own way of work. And, asking such questions from people around on social media can help us gain many new ideas on the topic. Things like Twitter Chat, Quora Sessions — all these are great places to begin with. Here you can interact directly with people and share our thoughts and get feedbacks.
Inspired by my previous session of Twitter Chat which provided people the platform to interact with experts, discuss and learn more about different subject, I’m going to host my next Twitter Chat by the name of #ProofHubChat on 3rd August 2017 at 12:30 PM IST And 5:00 PM AEST on the topic ‘Remote Working’. I’d love you all to be a part of it. Looking forward to your participation.
